2025 K-Beauty Festa Successfully Held in Kathmandu, Celebrating Korean Beauty and Culture

Kathmandu, June 8 – The Embassy of South Korea in Nepal hosted the 2025 K-Beauty Festa at Hotel Himalaya on Saturday, June 7, celebrating the growing popularity of Korean beauty and culture in Nepal.

The event featured major Korean beauty product retailers in Nepal—such as Korean Beauty Point, Dream Skin Nepal, KPG-Beauty, and Prettyclick—who showcased a wide range of popular Korean skincare and cosmetic products. Attendees were excited by product demonstrations and special offers, reflecting the increasing demand for K-beauty products in Nepal.

A key highlight of the event was the K-Beauty Class, organized by the Korean Embassy and Sejong Culture Academy. Renowned Korean makeup artist and beauty YouTuber Hoseok Jung (shawn_issure) led an interactive session on Korean skincare. Participants got hands-on training, watched live makeup demos, and learned about the latest K-beauty trends—receiving very positive feedback.

Beyond skincare, the event also celebrated Korean culture. Visitors enjoyed the 2025 Korean Speech Contest under the theme “Beauty,” and explored the K-Culture Experience Zone, which featured traditional Korean dress (Hanbok), Korean food, and calligraphy.

In his opening remarks, South Korean Ambassador to Nepal, Tae-young Park, thanked everyone involved and spoke about the rising influence of Korean culture—especially among Nepali youth who are enthusiastic about Korean language, K-Pop, dramas, and beauty. He called these fans “civilian envoys of friendship” and promised continued support for cultural exchange between Korea and Nepal.
