A total of 114 students received their degrees during the first convocation ceremony of Rajarshi Janak University, marking a significant milestone for the institution.

 KATHMANDU, JUNE 10 – Rajarshi Janak University held its first-ever convocation ceremony in Janakpur on Tuesday, where 114 students from bachelor's and master's programs received their degrees. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is also the university’s Chancellor, handed out the certificates.

During the ceremony, the Prime Minister also awarded medals to four outstanding students and recognized ten top scorers across various faculties.

Speaking at the event, senior writer and academic Prof. Dr. Rajendra Bimal encouraged the graduates to use their education to serve the country and society.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Amar Prasad Yadav called the convocation a historic milestone for the university and reaffirmed its commitment to providing quality education.

Rajarshi Janak University currently runs 13 programs under four main faculties: Humanities and Law, Science and Engineering, Health, and Management. According to Dr. Yadav, around 1,700 students from 19 districts across five provinces are enrolled in the university’s five constituent campuses and 69 affiliated colleges.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Oli also chaired a meeting of the university’s Senate ahead of the convocation.
