Continuous Rainfall Floods Dhangadhi, No Injuries Reported

Kathmandu, June 30 – Continuous rain since last night has caused severe waterlogging in several areas of Dhangadhi, including the main market. Neighborhoods like Bishalnagar, Milanchowk, Shivanagar, Hasanpur, Campus Road, Malikatol, and Krishnanagar are among the worst affected.

Many shops are submerged, and residents are finding it difficult to move around. Locals blame the yearly flooding on unplanned urban development and the encroachment of small rivers and streams. They also say that roads being blacktopped without proper drainage systems is a major reason for the repeated flooding.

According to the District Police Office in Kailali, there have been no reports of injuries or deaths so far.
