Fast EV charging station now operational on Narayangadh-Butwal road
Nawalpur (Nawalparasi), February 11 – A new fast-charging station for electric vehicles (EVs) has started operating in Kawasoti-11, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East). The station can charge up to five vehicles at once, including both small and large EVs.
Local resident Bishnu Adhikari set up the station on five kattha of his land with support from the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). The project cost around Rs 10 million. Adhikari also plans to open a refreshment center for drivers at the site.
This is the only fast-charging station along the 114-km Narayangadh–Butwal road section, and it provides 24-hour charging services. According to Adhikari, the station can charge around 50 vehicles per day on average. However, ongoing delays in the road expansion project have caused some operational challenges.
Once the road work is completed, he plans to expand the facility by adding 10 more charging nozzles.
