Flood warning issued as Mohana River water level rises

Dhangadhi, June 30

Authorities have issued a flood warning for areas along the Mohana River in Kailali district, urging residents to stay alert as water levels continue to rise.

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has sent SMS alerts to people living in high-risk zones, advising them to take necessary precautions.

As of 7:30 AM today, the river’s water level had reached 3.06 meters — crossing the warning mark of 3 meters. The danger level is 3.60 meters, and since the water is still rising, officials are calling for extra caution.
