 Kathmandu, June 19 — A masked dancer performed the traditional Nawa Durga Nach in Bhaktapur on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. This centuries-old ritual dance is dedicated to the nine forms of the Hindu goddess Durga.


The dance, which takes place at the Nawa Durga Temple, symbolizes the death and rebirth of the goddess. The ritual spans several months and is believed to protect the city from evil spirits and bring prosperity.
