Indian Embassy in Kathmandu celebrates World Environment Day by planting trees

Kathmandu, June 5 – The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu celebrated World Environment Day 2025 with a special event focused on the theme "Beat Plastic Pollution."

Nepal's Minister for Forest and Environment, Ain Bahadur Shahi Thakuri, attended as a special guest and joined the Indian Ambassador in planting saplings at the embassy, along with students from Kendriya Vidyalaya Kathmandu.

The event also featured a video message from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing the importance of protecting the environment.
