Mundum Trek Promotion Fair begins

 Bhojpur, January 15

A fair has started to promote the Mundum trekking route, one of the 100 destinations identified by the government as must-visit places. The event, which highlights local culture, tourism, and agriculture, is part of the campaign for Visit Nepal Year 2025 and will run until January 18.

Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Minister Bandri Prasad Pandey inaugurated the fair on Tuesday. He said that Nepal’s rich language, traditions, and heritage could be turned into a living cultural museum. He also emphasized that tourism has the potential to create thousands of self-employment opportunities.

The fair is taking place at Chakhewa Bhanjyang, a scenic spot in Temkemaiung Rural Municipality-4 along the Mundum trekking trail. According to the Chakhewa Market and Urbanization Management Committee, the event features local foods and handwoven rugs to promote the region’s unique products.
