NRN Sujan Katwal Honored with Prestigious MBE by UK Government

 London, June 14 – Nepali-born businessman and social worker Sujan Katwal has been honored with the prestigious MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) by the British government.

The award was announced as part of the British monarch's birthday honours list. Katwal expressed his happiness at receiving the recognition and dedicated the honour to his team, family, and community for their continued support and inspiration.

Katwal was recognized for his outstanding contributions to the community through social work. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he provided free meals to over 250,000 people and has remained actively involved in various charitable initiatives.

Earlier this year, Katwal was also named among the 100 most influential people in Britain.

Established in 1917 by King George V, the MBE is awarded to individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions to society.

Originally from Biratnagar, Nepal, Katwal moved to the UK in 1998. He owns the Panas Gorkha Restaurant in South London and leads social initiatives through his charity, Panas Helping Hands.
