Pokhara-Jomsom flights stopped for two months

Mustang, June 27

Private airlines have decided to stop flights between Pokhara and Jomsom for two months because fewer passengers are traveling during the rainy season.

Sujan Lalchhan, the person in charge of Tara Airlines’ Jomsom office, said the company will suspend flights from June 16 and plans to restart them in the first week of September. He explained that the flights are paused due to bad weather and a drop in passenger numbers.

Similarly, Summit Airlines will also pause flights on this route for two months starting July 4. Suman Thakali, Summit Airlines’ Jomsom station head, said the decision was made because of the low number of passengers.
