RPP leader Rabindra Mishra released on bail

Kathmandu, June 18 — The Kathmandu District Court has granted bail to Rabindra Mishra, senior vice-chairperson of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), following a preliminary hearing on Tuesday.

District Judge Taradevi Maharjan ordered Mishra’s release on a bail of Rs 300,000, according to court information officer Dipak Kumar Shrestha. Mishra was released after he paid the bail amount.

He had been arrested in connection with a violent incident during a pro-monarchy rally held in the Tinkune area of Kathmandu on March 28. Government prosecutors had filed charges against him, including treason, criminal offenses, and organized crime.
