Ruling parties agree to approve the budget.
Kathmandu, June 24
The ruling parties met today and agreed to support the Appropriation Bill, 2082 BS, which has been presented in the Federal Parliament.
The meeting, called by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, decided that all lawmakers from the ruling coalition will vote in favor of the bill. This is necessary to pass the national budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
After the meeting, Terai Madhesh Loktantrik Party Chairperson Mahantha Thakur said the main ruling parties—CPN (UML) and Nepali Congress—have already agreed on the 'Take and Pay' provision included in the budget. He said today's meeting mainly focused on getting the budget approved.
