SEE results expected to be out in late June

 Kathmandu, June 18

The National Examination Board plans to release the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) results in the third week of Asar (late June), officials said.

The results were originally scheduled to come out in the first week of Asar, but a 29-day-long teachers' strike that began on Chaitra 20, 2081 BS delayed the checking of answer sheets. This pushed back the timeline for publishing the results.

“Teachers were on strike for 29 days, and two more days were lost in travel time. That delayed the start of answer sheet checking, so we can’t publish the results before the third week,” said Dr. Ganesh Prasad Bhattarai, the Exam Controller.

He said the evaluation process is now in its final stages.

“Staff are working from morning to evening. Some answer sheets are still being checked. After that, we’ll move on to data entry and verification to make sure everything is accurate before we release the results,” he added.

This year’s SEE exams began on Chaitra 7, 2081 BS. A total of 499,183 students took the exams — 431,466 under the regular category and 67,715 under the grade improvement category.
