Global IME Bank named Best Bank by Global Finance for second year in a row

 Kathmandu, July 12 —

Global IME Bank Limited has once again been named Nepal’s Best Bank for 2025 by Global Finance Magazine, earning the prestigious international award for the second year in a row.

The recognition highlights the bank’s achievements in areas such as trustworthiness, financial performance, customer service, expansion, strategic partnerships, and credit ratings. Global IME Bank had also received the same honor in 2024.

CEO Surendra Raj Regmi said the award will motivate the bank to continue improving its services. He thanked the Government of Nepal, Nepal Rastra Bank, regulatory bodies, shareholders, employees, and especially the customers for their trust and continued support.

Global Finance Magazine, known for recognizing top commercial and central banks worldwide, selects winners each year from regions including Asia-Pacific, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. Global IME Bank is the first Nepali bank to receive this honor, putting it alongside major global banks such as HSBC (Hong Kong), State Bank of India, China Construction Bank, and others.

The bank said the award reinforces its commitment to delivering modern, reliable, and customer-focused services. Over the years, Global IME Bank has earned several national and international titles, including Bank of the Year (2014), Best Internet Bank (2016), Best Bank Nepal (2024, 2025), Best Bank ESG Nepal (2024), and Best Employer Award.

Global IME Bank is also the first private commercial bank in Nepal to have a presence in all 77 districts. It currently operates over 1,000 service points, including 352 branches, 385 ATMs, 155 branchless banking centers, 68 extension counters, and three international representative offices.

The bank also plays a major role in remittance services, helping customers receive money from countries such as the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, and many in the Middle East. Global IME Bank says it will continue striving for excellence and innovation to meet its customers' growing needs.
