Man safely rescued from Mahakali River in Darchula

Kathmandu, July 17

A man trapped on a rock in the middle of the Mahakali River in Darchula has been safely rescued by Nepal’s Armed Police Force (APF).

The man, identified as 35-year-old Bikram KC from Samserganj Amelia in Banke district, was found stranded near Khalanga in Mahakali Municipality-4.

After receiving information, a disaster response team from APF Nepal’s No. 44 Battalion, led by Superintendent Devraj Joshi, quickly reached the scene and rescued him without any injuries.

According to the APF, the man seemed to be mentally unstable at the time of the rescue.
