Nepal Entrepreneurship Forum Ends with Focus on Strengthening Startup Ecosystem
KATHMANDU, JULY 27 — The Nepal Entrepreneurship Forum, jointly organized by King’s College and its research center CERAD (Centre for Research and Development), concluded today after two days of discussions on social entrepreneurship and ways to strengthen Nepal’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Held under the theme "Towards a Sustainable Entrepreneurship Ecosystem," the international conference brought together over 500 participants—including entrepreneurs, researchers, policymakers, educators, and students—from both Nepal and abroad.
Conference Coordinator Sagun Baba Shrestha described the event as a vibrant platform for exchanging new ideas on sustainable business, innovation, and inclusive economic growth. “It wasn’t just about discussion—it was about building connections, sparking cross-border collaboration, and motivating everyone to help shape a stronger, more resilient future for entrepreneurship in Nepal,” she said.
The forum featured panel discussions on key topics such as economic freedom, inclusive education, climate-smart practices, mentorship, policy reform, and public–private partnerships. Speakers emphasized the importance of blending profit with purpose and environmental responsibility to create impactful and ethical businesses.
According to King’s College, the event marked a significant milestone in its journey—from the 2016 International Conference on Social Entrepreneurship to this broader platform of the Nepal Entrepreneurship Forum 2025.
