Proton e.MAS joins Shark Tank Nepal as official sponsor
KATHMANDU, July 2 — Proton e.MAS, the electric vehicle brand from Malaysian carmaker Proton, has officially partnered with Shark Tank Nepal as its main sponsor. The popular business reality show, broadcast on Himalaya Television, gives Nepali entrepreneurs a chance to pitch their ideas to seasoned investors in hopes of securing funding and guidance.
According to a press release, this partnership reflects Proton e.MAS’s commitment to supporting innovation, fearless thinking, and sustainable business in Nepal. The company says it wants to help shape a smarter and greener future by backing the next generation of Nepali entrepreneurs.
“We’re passionate about innovation,” said Akhil Gupta, Executive Director of Jagdamba Motors, Proton’s authorized distributor in Nepal. “Partnering with Shark Tank Nepal fits perfectly with our vision for clean mobility and a more eco-friendly, entrepreneurial Nepal.”
As part of the deal, Proton e.MAS will be featured throughout the show’s upcoming season, giving viewers a closer look at its electric vehicle technology and green goals. The brand also hopes to energize and support the entrepreneurs featured on the show.
Proton e.MAS represents the next wave of electric vehicles in Southeast Asia, blending smart design and environmental responsibility. Shark Tank Nepal is the local version of the hit global show, where innovators pitch their start-up ideas to a panel of successful investors—known as the “sharks”—to try and turn their dreams into reality.
