The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) continued its upward trend on Monday, climbing by 21.76 points to close at 2,892.72. The total trading turnover for the day reached around Rs 16 billion, reflecting strong investor activity in the market.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) continued to rise on Monday, gaining 21.76 points (0.75%) to close at 2,892.72 points. All major market indicators ended in positive territory. The Float Index went up by 0.89%, and the Sensitive Index, which tracks Class 'A' companies, rose by 0.81%.


Among the sectors, microfinance companies led the gains with a 1.93% increase, followed by the 'Others' category (1.84%), development banks (1.42%), and non-life insurance companies (1.27%).


The trading volume remained strong, with shares worth Rs 16.33 billion changing hands in 138,828 transactions involving 311 companies. Out of the traded stocks, 153 rose in value, 96 declined, while Green Development Bank Ltd. (GRDBL) and Saptakoshi Development Bank Ltd. (SAPDBL) hit the 10% lower circuit limit.


With this ongoing upward trend, the total market capitalization reached Rs 4.826 trillion by the end of the day.v
