259 landless families in Chitwan granted land ownership certificates.

 Chitwan, August 29 – The Land Problem Settlement Commission’s district committee has handed out land ownership certificates to 259 landless families in Chitwan, including Dalits, squatters, and unmanaged settlers.

According to Commission Chair Iman Singh Moktan, 130 families from Ratnanagar Municipality and 129 from Bharatpur Metropolitan City received certificates.

Out of 51,000 applications, certificates for 150 families had already been prepared. The commission aims to issue certificates to 400 families by the end of Asoj (October 17), working in coordination with local governments.
