FNCCI President Dhakal and Qatar Chamber Chairman Al Thani Talk About Boosting Economic Cooperation

FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal met with Qatar Chamber Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani in Qatar to discuss ways to strengthen Nepal-Qatar economic relations.

They agreed to hold the next Nepal-Qatar Joint Business Council (JBC) meeting in Kathmandu to promote trade and investment. Dhakal encouraged Qatari investors to explore opportunities in Nepal’s hydropower, solar, fintech, IT, and agriculture sectors.

Al Thani expressed support for activating the JBC and deepening bilateral cooperation.

Dhakal also invited Qatari businesses to participate in the Nepal International Economic Summit (NIES) in February, which will feature a special Qatar-focused investment session. He highlighted Nepal’s export potential in tea, coffee, cardamom, herbs, and processed foods, and stressed the need for collaboration on certification and branding.

“The Nepal-Qatar partnership can reach new heights through investment, innovation, and cooperation,” Dhakal said.
