Gold price reaches record high, surpasses Rs 200,000 per tola.

 Kathmandu, August 29 – Gold prices in Nepal hit a new record high on Friday, surpassing the previous record set just three weeks ago.


According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold jumped by Rs 1,200 per tola from the previous day, reaching Rs 200,600 per tola. The earlier record was Rs 199,400 per tola, set on August 7.


Silver prices also reached a new high, rising by Rs 5 per tola to Rs 2,360.


Federation First Vice President Dharmasundar Bajracharya said the rise in Nepal’s market mirrors international trends. “As prices change globally, they are adjusted in the Nepali market as well,” he explained.


Globally, gold prices have crossed 3,400 US dollars per ounce.
