KATHMANDU, AUGUST 31: Marking its 10th anniversary, Himalaya Airlines operated a special diplomatic flight on Saturday, carrying Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli and his high-level delegation to Tianjin, China.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by his spouse Radhika Shakya, Education Minister Raghuji Pant, Tourism Minister Badri Prasad Pandey, Economic Advisor Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada, Members of Parliament, and senior officials. The delegation will return from Beijing on September 3 aboard a Himalaya Airbus 320-214.
Himalaya Airlines President Zhou Enyong personally welcomed the Prime Minister on board, while Vice President Vijay Shrestha bid farewell at Tribhuvan International Airport. “It is a great honor for Himalaya Airlines to operate a special flight for the official visit of the Head of Government,” Shrestha said. “We will continue serving the nation with the same commitment in the years ahead.”
The Airbus 319-115 (9N-AJK) departed Kathmandu at 07:23 NST and landed in Tianjin at 15:15 local time.
