Jayaprithvi Highway blocked

 Kathmandu, August 6

Heavy rainfall has caused a landslide that blocked the Jayaprithvi Highway early this morning, halting vehicle movement and leaving passengers stranded.

According to Balram Pandeya, spokesperson for the District Police Office, the landslide occurred at Ramilapur in Sigas Rural Municipality-9.

Police say efforts are currently underway to remove the debris and reopen the highway, which is a key route in Sudurpaschim Province.
