Kushal Malla Back in National Squad for Top End T20 Series in Australia
Kathmandu, August 4 – The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has unveiled a 15-member squad for the upcoming Top End T20 Series in Australia, scheduled to take place from August 14 to 24.
Rohit Paudel will lead the team, with Dipendra Singh Airee serving as vice-captain. Notably, explosive all-rounder Kushal Malla returns to the national team after missing the recent tours to the UK and Scotland.
The Top End T20 Series, organized by the Northern Territory Cricket Board of Australia, is an annual tournament now in its fourth edition. This year, 11 teams, including Nepal, will participate.
Nepal kicks off its campaign against hosts NT Strike on August 15 at DXC Arena. The team will then face Bangladesh 'A' on August 16 at the same venue.
Following that, Nepal will take on academy sides from three major Big Bash League (BBL) franchises: Melbourne Stars (August 18 at TIO Stadium), Hobart Hurricanes (August 19 at Cazaly's Arena), and Melbourne Renegades (August 20 at Cazaly's Arena).
Nepal’s final group-stage match is scheduled for August 22 against Pakistan 'A', also at DXC Arena.
