New Dashain Banknotes Available for Exchange from September 14

 Kathmandu, August 31

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced that new banknotes for Dashain can be exchanged from September 14 (Bhadra 29) to September 26 (Ashoj 10).

The notes can be exchanged at the NRB’s main office in Thapathali and at its provincial offices in Biratnagar, Janakpur, Birgunj, Pokhara, Siddharthanagar, Nepalgunj, and Dhangadhi.

Banknotes will also be available for exchange at the branch offices of Class A, B, and C banks and financial institutions licensed by NRB. The service is open to both the general public and organizations during regular office hours.

This year, Ghatasthapana will be observed on September 22 (Ashoj 6), Phulpati on September 29 (Ashoj 13), and Vijayadashami on September 30 (Ashoj 16), marking the main days of the Dashain festival.
