PM Oli: Good Governance and Development Are Top Priorities
Kathmandu, August 12 – Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has emphasized the need to make good governance a nationwide campaign to fulfill the vision of a “Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali.” Speaking at a program marking the 24th establishment day of the National Vigilance Centre at Singha Durbar, he urged officials to follow the constitutional directive principles and provide citizens with prompt services by avoiding corruption and irregularities.
Addressing government chiefs, security agency leaders, and secretaries, the Prime Minister stressed that all state mechanisms should promote transparency and guarantee citizens’ right to access public services. He stated, “Corrupt people in positions of power cannot win the hearts of the people.”
Referring to the United Nations’ principle of leaving no one behind, PM Oli reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring a secure and dignified life for all citizens. He called for collective efforts to eliminate all forms of backwardness and advance Nepal toward becoming a developed nation, expressing hope that the National Vigilance Centre would play a proactive role in achieving this vision.
