US Nepal Climbers Association Names Coordinator for Its Nepal Chapter
KATHMANDU, AUGUST 31: The US Nepal Climbers Association Inc., a non-profit organization based in the United States, has appointed Laxman Bomjan as Coordinator of its Nepal Chapter.
The association, registered as a 501(c)(3) organization, supports the mountaineering community, preserves Himalayan culture, and helps educate children of climbers who have lost their lives.
As coordinator, Bomjan will manage chapter activities in Nepal, strengthen collaboration with the US headquarters, and launch programs to benefit climbers, local communities, and future generations. He will also lead the association’s flagship campaign, “Save the Himalayas,” which focuses on climate change awareness, glacier conservation, and promoting sustainable mountaineering practices.
The appointment underscores the association’s commitment to global solidarity, cultural pride, and long-term protection of the Himalayas.
