Bailey Bridge Built Over Kaligandaki River in Mustang

A new Bailey bridge has been built over the Kaligandaki River in Mustang, connecting Wards 1 and 2 of Gharapjhong Rural Municipality. The project was completed at a total cost of Rs 28.7 million.

Out of the total budget, Rs 19.7 million came from the federal government through special grants, while the remaining Rs 9 million was provided by the local government.

According to sub-engineer Rajan Kandel, the 42-meter-long and 4.2-meter-wide bridge took two years to complete.

Ward 1 Chair Aash Bahadur Thakali said the bridge has made transportation much easier, especially benefiting residents of Chhairo and Chimang villages in Gharapjhong.
