JSP quits government, says it failed to meet people's expectations

KATHMANDU, JULY 16 — The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal has announced that it is withdrawing its support for the current government. The decision was made during a party meeting held today at its parliamentary office in Singha Durbar.

In a statement issued after the meeting, the party said, "The government's failure to meet public expectations makes it unjustifiable to continue our support. We’ve therefore decided to step away and move to the opposition."

The JSP accused the government of failing in key areas such as good governance, economic recovery, development, and proper implementation of federalism.
