Nepal Tourism Promotion Seminar Organized in Hong Kong

The Consulate-General of Nepal in Hong Kong held the Nepal Tourism Promotion Seminar 2025 on Tuesday to promote Nepal as a travel destination and better understand the interests of Hong Kong travelers.
Professor Kaye Chon, Dean of the School of Hotel and Tourism Management at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, was the special guest at the event. He praised Nepal’s natural beauty and cultural heritage, while also emphasizing the importance of improving tourism infrastructure.
A panel discussion titled "Harmonising Nepal Tourism Products to Hong Kong Tourists' Priorities" featured speakers including Prof. Catherine Cheung, Prof. Ada Lo, and Prof. Roshis Krishna Shrestha. The discussion covered tourist preferences, digital tools in tourism, and the need to diversify Nepal’s tourism offerings. Consul Satish Gurung moderated the session.
Consul-General Dr. Bindeswar Prasad Lekhak spoke about the potential for growth in Nepal’s tourism sector and encouraged the Nepali diaspora to actively promote tourism and invest in related opportunities.
Additional presentations were given by Migee K.C., Nepal Airlines’ Country Manager in Hong Kong, and tourism promoter Prakash Pun.
The seminar was attended by people from the travel and hospitality industries, academics, and members of the local community.
