Om Vedic Foundation launched with grand event in Kathmandu
The Om Vedic Foundation was officially launched in Kathmandu on Saturday with a grand ceremony focused on promoting a spiritual way of life and building a balanced society. The Foundation aims to combine Vedic knowledge, Sanatan philosophy, modern science, and technology to create a global spiritual economy rooted in Vedic science.
The Foundation also plans to establish a world-class education and research center in Nepal to encourage social change and overall well-being through Vedic education.
During the event, CEO Devaraj Gautam explained the Foundation’s goals and talked about the scientific aspects of astrology, sound healing, and natural therapies, highlighting astrology's role in making everyday life easier.
Dr. R.M. introduced the Om Vedic Wellness Programme, which focuses on holistic healing based on Vedic traditions. Dr. Lokaraj Paudel, President of the World Astro Federation Nepal, spoke about the importance of water, energy, and elemental balance in Vedic teachings, calling for scientific research on traditional knowledge.
Former DIG and anti-corruption advocate Ramesh Kharel emphasized the value of social ethics, good behavior, and equality, saying Vedic values can bring positive change to society.
Dr. Kanti Shrestha, former Chief Scientific Officer at NAST, presented scientific evidence backing traditional practices like sound therapy, herbal medicine, and incense use.
Health technology expert Dr. Subash Pyakurel discussed the link between spirituality and physical health, while Tantra expert Dr. Shahadev Bista explained the science behind energy vibrations.
Prabhu Vaidya, Chairperson of Yetichem Distributors, highlighted the importance of preserving traditional knowledge and teaching it to younger generations using modern science.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Chairperson Rabina Gorkhali Banepali, who thanked all the speakers, guests, volunteers, and supporters for making the event a success.
